| FASHION SHOW TO HELP SEXUAL ABUSE SURVIVORS The Tonya Allen Foundation set to host its First Annual Fashion Show The epidemic of Child Sexual Abuse is at an all time high, with more than 90,000 cases of abuse popping up every year, this rapidly affects a large majority of America’s population. Regardless of age, race, gender, religion or economic class this predatory crime has an effect on everyone. Fortunately, there are extraordinary people and organizations like Tonya Allen of the Tonya Allen Foundation that allow the victims of these heinous crimes to get the help they so desperately need. Tonya is a crusader on the path of stamping out Child Sexual Abuse and bringing light to the victims with a chance at ‘Triumphing over Tragedy’. In her journey she has harnessed her spirit and focused on bringing a solution to this epidemic by starting the Tonya Allen Foundation. The newly formed foundation sole intent is to bring awareness to the victims struggle and silent screams, through helping them regain their voices and unshackle their minds from the paralyzing thoughts and fears of their past. The Tonya Allen Foundation hopes to bring this awareness to Phoenix as the organizations sets to host its first of many events. On May 10, 2008, the Tonya Allen Foundation wants to invite the community to join us at the Arizona Grand Resort at South Mountain to the 1st Annual Red Carpet Charity Event and Runway Fashion Show. This is a star studded elegant night to remember. This event will showcase some of the hottest spring and summer fashions. These fashions will be worn by some of the hottest Athletics and influential individuals in the Valley; from the Arizona Cardinals prime-time receiver Anquan Boldin & defensive end Travis LaBoy, PGA Golf Pro Andy Walker, NFL Veterans Kwamie Lassiter & Seth Joyner, Rainbow Pediatrics Dr. Duane Wooten to AZBP Desmond Peartree and many more, including surprise celebrity keynote speaker and entertainment. This will surely be a night you won’t want to miss. There will be a silent auction and a chance to network with some celebrities and the Valley’s best and brightest.
